Terms and conditions for the use of Sampo plc’s Internet pages
1. Committing to terms of use

Please read the terms of use carefully before accessing Sampo plc’s (Sampo) Internet pages available at www.sampo.com (Internet pages) . By opening the Internet pages you commit to following terms of use. You are not permitted to use the Internet pages if you do not accept the terms.

2. About the information on the Internet pages

The Internet pages offer  information and archive material for everyone interested in the Sampo Group, especially to investors and the media.

You can also order Sampo Group’s printed and electronic material through the Internet pages, e.g. press releases, economic reviews and annual reports. You can also send feedback related to communication and investor relations and communication requests through the Internet pages.

3. Availability of the Internet pages

The Internet pages and their content are a service provided by Sampo that is provided on “as it is” basis. Sampo does not guarantee that the Internet pages are available without interruption or errors. Sampo reserves the right to make changes to the Internet pages and limit the access to the pages at any time. Sampo provides no guarantee on the availability, accuracy, reliability or contents of the Internet pages.

4. Technical requirements

You can use the Internet pages and related services with the most common browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla Firefox or Opera. Sampo does not support the use of Beta version of browsers and we also ask you to note that when using the Internet pages the browser must allow the use of both Javascript and Popups and the display resolution must be at least 800 x 600.

5. Sampo’s liability

Sampo is not liable for any damages, loss of sales or business interruptions arising out of the use or inability to use the Internet pages or the services offered on the Internet pages, even if Sampo has been notified of the possibility of such damage. In case some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain limitations of liability, the liability of Sampo would in such a case be limited to the greatest extent permitted by the relevant law.

The information provided on the Internet pages can under no circumstances constitute an offer to buy or sell securities or other financial instruments nor an advice or recommendation to take such an action.

6. Forward looking statements

Sampo’s Internet pages may contain links to pages owned or managed by third parties. When you transfer to such a page you must review and accept their possible terms of use before starting to use said pages. When you transfer to a linked page you also accept that that page is not managed by Sampo and Sampo has no control over the content of the material created or published on these pages. Sampo is not responsible for any of the material on pages managed by a third party. The inclusion of a third party link that is not related to Sampo on Sampo pages does not in any way indicate that Sampo takes a stand on the products or services included in these pages.

8. Immaterial property rights and the right to use the Internet pages

The content’s of the Internet pages are protected by immaterial property rights. Sampo reserves all rights to the Internet pages and their contents, unless otherwise stated in the terms of use. Copying, transferring, distribution or storing of the page content or parts of it in any form whatsoever is forbidden without written permission from Sampo, apart from any exceptions mentioned on the Internet pages. You are allowed to view the Internet pages on a computer (or similar device) and print out parts.

Distribution and publication of the content of Sampo’s Internet pages is forbidden without written consent from Sampo. Separate terms of use may be attached to services offered and individual documents available on Sampo’s Internet pages, which mean that such special terms are in addition to the terms of use applied to the said documents or services.

The use of press releases and other documents classified as public is permitted in public communications if the source for the information has been stated. If you copy or download any information from the Internet pages, you agree that you will not remove or obscure any copyright or other notices contained in any such information.

9. Privacy protection

Sampo collects processes and analyses data on the use, traffic, and events on the Internet pages, as well as other statistics related to the pages. Sampo can, if it deems necessary, also acquire such data from reliable third parties; however, only so that the data cannot be restored to relate to one identifiable person.

The personal data of users that visit the Internet pages is only used with the users consent, for example as reported to Sampo by themselves. Unless otherwise stipulated, Sampo will not transfer customer information to third parties without the customer’s consent. Different terms of use and privacy protection practices may apply to certain services available through the Internet pages. In case you want to supply information to Sampo Group that is legally privileged (e.g. in the Act on Credit Institutions or the Insurance Companies Act) or relates to your customer relationship with the Sampo Group, we ask you to send the message through the Messages service in Sampo Bank’s web bank. If you send material other than the above-mentioned customer relationship-related or personal data to Sampo by, e.g., e-mail or through the Internet pages, you accept and confirm that (a) the material you are sending is not illegal or otherwise unfit for publication, (b) you have taken necessary precautions before sending to find and remove any possible viruses and other impurities or destructive features, (c) the material is yours or you have unlimited permission to deliver it to Sampo and that Sampo can publish the material free of charge and/or include the material or part of it in its own products without any liability or obligation to pay, and (d) you will not make any claims on Sampo based on the material you send and you commit to compensate Sampo for any costs that may occur from actions taken by a third party based on the material you send.

10. Applicable law

These terms of use are governed by Finnish law.
