Mandatum Life's primary operating area is Finland. In addition, the company has a subsidiary in the Baltic countries. SE Sampo Life Insurance Baltic operates throughout the Baltic area and is domiciled in Estonia. It has branch offices in Latvia and Lithuania.

Mandatum Life's technical provisions mostly comprise the with-profit insurance portfolio. However, new business focuses on unit-linked insurances.

Mandatum Life has 243,000 private customers and 24,000 corporate customers in Finland.
