Mandatum Life has 243,000 private customers and 24,000 corporate customers in Finland.

In Life Insurance, Sampo's range of products and services covers all the voluntary life and pension insurance needs of both private and corporate customers. The product offering can be categorised into unit-linked policies and with-profit policies.

In unit-linked policies the customer can invest the insurance premium in a variety of investment alternatives and ultimately bears the risks related to the investments. In with-profit insurance policies the customer receives a guaranteed interest rate plus a bonus and consequently Sampo bears the investment risks.

The main focus in Sampo's life insurance operations is on maintaining the strong growth in unit-linked savings and investment policies as well as in risk policies.
