Fixed salary is based on the employee’s position in the organization and the individual performance in that position. Salary setting is based on facts, such as market data (where available). Local collective agreements set the framework for salary development for most Sampo Group employees and may also include a mandatory salary discussion element. For employees outside the collective agreements, there are division-specific annual processes and pots, which are approximately on the level of collective raises. Within the pots, the possibility of salary differentiation between employees is used to reward excellent performance.
Benefits as a rule reflect conditions in the local labor market, but benefits are continuously harmonized within the divisions and reviewed from a cost/efficiency perspective. Certain benefits, e.g. car benefit, are linked to the employee’s position or the nature of work performed.
