Sampo Group's life insurance operations are handled by Mandatum Life. Mandatum Life, a respected expert in money and life, offers private and corporate customers services in wealth management, rewards and incentives and personal risk insurance. The company's main area of operation is Finland, where it has 250,000 private customers and 25,000 corporate customers. In addition, Mandatum Life Insurance Baltic SE operates in all of the Baltic countries.

The focal point of Mandatum Life's insurance operations is wealth management and sales of unit-linked insurance policies and risk insurance. In 2012, Mandatum Life's market share of unit-linked policies was 26.2 per cent. The total market share of direct insurance in Finland was 24.5 per cent, and the market share in the Baltic countries was 11 per cent in 2012.

Innova Personnel Fund and Pension Services Ltd. is a subsidiary of Mandatum Life that was acquired by the company in 2011. Innova has a staff of roughly 30. All in all, Mandatum Life Group employs approximately 550 professionals in insurance and wealth management.
