Investor Relations and Communications Policy

Sampo plc's goal is to produce accurate, coherent, sufficient and up-to-date information regarding the development of business operations within Sampo Group, its strategy and financial position.

To reach this goal, we

• publish three interim reports, a full-year result release and Annual Report on an annual basis
• provide information regarding factors affecting share value development, whenever needed
• conduct regular discussions with analysts and investors, in Finland as well as abroad
• maintain current bulletins and a Press Release archive on our internet site at www.sampo.com

We seek to guarantee the availability of coherent information, according to the Market Securities Act and the Companies Act, to all of our interest groups. We also seek to use communications as a means of supporting and strengthening Sampo Group's corporate image. Our main interest groups are investors, analysts, the media, customers, our employees, the authorities and our business partners.

We abide by relevant legislation, the regulations of the authorities and marketplaces, as well as the principles of investor relations that have proven reliable. Our main communication channels are NASDAQ OMX Helsinki and the internet.

The Investor Relations unit is responsible for the implementation of investor relations and daily contact. Group management regularly participates in investor meetings. All communications concerning the entire Sampo Group or the listed company, Sampo plc, are concentrated in the Group Communications unit of Sampo plc. The responsibility for communicating Sampo's daily business has been delegated to the business areas, and specifically to their communications organizations.

Silent period

In our contacts with investors and the media, we observe a four-week silent period. This means that we refrain from holding discussions with representatives of the capital markets or the media regarding our results or the factors affecting it during the four weeks preceding the publication of the annual result or an interim report.
