Sampo applies for a license to exceed 20 per cent in Nordea

Board of Directors of Sampo plc has today decided to submit an application to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority for a license to increase the holding in Nordea Bank AB (publ) above 20 per cent. Sampo will announce the decision after receiving it.

On 25 August 2009 Sampo Group held 19.45 per cent of the shares of Nordea Bank AB (publ).
