Sampo's Christmas donation to Nuorten Kriisipiste
Press release - 12/10/2009 at 01:10 PMSampo plc contributes crisis support work for children and adolescents by giving a Christmas donation to Finnish organization Nuorten Kriisipiste. The donation amounts to 10,000 euros and is directed to organizing and developing crisis support work for children and adolescents and to prevention of adolescence violence.
- The aim for our operation is to promote the well-being of young and adolescents by offering someone to discuss with in different crisis situations in life. We have experienced that these situations can be solved if one seeks assistance early enough, Olavi Sydänmaanlakka, manager of the crisis support work for children and adolescents, says.
The crisis support services are open for children and adolescents aged 12 to 29 years and for their families as well. The service is free of charge. The crisis support services are offered by Helsinki City Mission. The services are financed by The Finnish Slot Machine Association RAY, City of Helsinki as well as private and corporate donations.
- Sampo thinks highly of the crisis support given for children and adolescents and is thereby willing to support the work, Jarmo Salonen, Head of IR and Group Communications, says.
Instead of sending traditional Christmas greetings to its stakeholders, Sampo plc has for years given donations to charity.
