Insurance Supervisory Authority is not opposed to the Sampo-If arrangement


The Finnish Insurance Supervisory Authority has decided that it is not opposed to the intention of If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab to acquire shares of Sampo's P&C companies. The arrangement which was announced on 21 May 2001 has not yet been implemented. According to the plan, Sampo's P&C companies become If's subsidiaries and Sampo plc will be the major owner of If.
