Sampo Bank and Western Union Financial Services have entered into an agreement on the basis of which Sampo Bank and Western Union launch an express money transfer service.
Through the express money transfer service of Western Union, the customer can transfer money abroad quickly and safely. The benefits of this service are emphasised when money is transferred to crisis areas or areas to which the transfer of money by banks’ traditional methods is difficult or impossible. This mode of payment is also widely used for transferring emergency cash to travellers. Furthermore, the service covers incoming payments to Finland from abroad, sent through Western Union. The service is also available for companies.
Western Union guarantees that the payment is delivered to the recipient within 15 minutes of receiving the order. The minimum charge for the express money transfer service is FIM 80 according to the tariff of Western Union. The amount of transfer as well as possible additional services affect the charge.
- This new service supplements Sampo Bank’s foreign services. The current service selection covers normal situations very well, but the express money transfer service enables us to provide our customers with even better service in difficult situations, says Liisa Neimala, Vice President, Products.
Western Union Financial Services, founded over 100 years ago in the USA, is an organisation delivering express money transfers. It has approximately 80,000 agents in about 200 countries.
