Even though the multiplicative effects of the oil price continue to keep the inflation rate on the euro area higher than targeted by the European Central Bank, the deceleration of the world economy growth rate is likely to reduce price pressure in future. The expectations on a deceleration of the economic growth and inflation in the euro area have led to a drop in money market interest rates and return on bonds. Euribor interest rates range between 4.3 per cent and 4.7 per cent. The return on the ten year government bond is approximately 4.9 per cent.
