Sampo rationalises Group Administration and Support Functions

The plans of reducing the staff with 500 man-years have not been realised as announced in connection with the merger between Sampo and Leonia. The merger of Mandatum Bank and Sampo results in an additional need for rationalisation. Sampo will begin restructuring measures and establish the extent of the staff reductions and the elimination of the overlapping functions required.

The measures do not concern customer service staff. The aim is to transfer staff from administration and support functions to customer service and sales during the restructuring. At the same time, training programmes will be started, the aim of which is to enable the deployment of the staff and the improvement of its skills, especially within core areas of Group strategy.
