Tietoenator service agreement decreases Sampo´s IT costs considerably

The agreement covers the centralised operating services and server hotels of banking and insurance production environments in Finland. The agreement also covers common development measures, such as back up site arrangements and improvement of high availability of production environments.

In the business transfer 14 employees in Turku will transfer to the employ of TietoEnator as old employees.

The IT production operations of the former insurance company Sampo have been managed in an internal unit. The IT production of former Leonia has been managed by TietoLeonia, co-owned by TietoEnator and Leonia, and TietoEnator has provided the capacity needed by Leonia, as well as the majority of software.

The agreement will implement Sampo's new strategy by which the company's role as a pacesetter will be strengthened in the financial group's IT solutions through co-operation with partners who have the best know-how in the field. The agreement will broaden Sampo's long-term co-operation with TietoEnator.
