I agreeSampo Group has published its Corporate Responsibility Report for 2020 on Sampo’s Annual Reporting site at www.sampo.com/year2020. Some of the biggest changes in the report compared to previous years are the deeper discussion around material topics with some additional key performance indicators, the gradual integration of Hastings into the report, and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) and SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) indices in the appendices.
Responding to COVID-19 was a primary focus for Sampo Group during 2020, but the group companies also took other corporate responsibility actions, for example:
- The year 2020 was challenging for everyone, from both business and personal perspectives. Regardless of the circumstances, we were able make progress in many important corporate responsibility sections, while at the same time keeping focus on customer service and ensuring employee well-being, says Johanna Tynkkynen, Head of Corporate Responsibility.
Sampo Group is committed to further strengthen its corporate responsibility efforts in close cooperation with the stakeholders. Sampo works continuously on integrating sustainability principles, such as those of the UN Global Compact, into the Group’s policies and business practices and wants to encourage its investee companies and other business partners to do the same.
