Holding segment balance sheet items in more detail

Financial assets consists mainly of Sampo plc's holding in its subsidiaries If P&C and Mandatum Life. These holdings are eliminated in the consolidated balance sheet.

Investments in associates reflects book value investments in Nordea.

Other assets include such items as property and equipment, intangible assets and tax assets and other items that are small in relation to the total assets.

Financial liabilities item includes any financial liabilities (e.g. debt) the company has issued.

Other liabilities include a number of miscellaneous liabilities that are small in relation to the entire balance sheet. These include such items as tax liabilities, provisions, liabilities for employee benefits, etc.
